Acer Switch 5: A Detachable Notebook

Acer Switch is the series of detachables (tablets with detachable keyboard) from the Taiwanese manufacturer. 2-in-1 devices that we anticipated this week and that Acer presented at a major hardware event held in New York and also included new gaming notebooks, Predator series, monitors, AIO, Aspire and Swift laptops, and even a smartwatch.

Acer Switch 3 can mount state-of-the-art Intel Celeron and Pentium processors and low-voltage “Apollo Lake” variants, such as the Pentium N4200 with four processing cores and a TDP consumption of only 6 watts, allowing you to use a passive Acer LiquidLoop cooling system without annoying fans.

Equipped with 4 Gbytes of LPDDR3 memory and variants with storage of 32, 64 and 128 Gbytes, expandable with Micro SDXC cards. Acer Switch 3 has the new USB Type C and USB 3.1 port, 802.11ac Wi-Fi connectivity with dual band 2 × 2 MU-MIMO, Bluetooth 4.0 and dual camera. The declared autonomy is 8 hours.

With Windows 1st pre-installed, it will be available in June in North America for $ 399. It will also arrive on the same date in Europe for 499 euros. Interesting price to get this 2 in 1.

With Windows 1st pre-installed, Acer Switch 5 will be available in June in North America for $ 799. It will also arrive on the same date in Europe for 1,099 euros. The price is less attractive than that of its younger brother, although Acer Switch 5 level is much higher.
