Last week, Apple introduced a new 10.5-inch tablet Apple iPad Pro 10.5. He was the most powerful to date mobile processor A10X Fusion, display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, standard 10 hours of battery life with the support of fast charging and the same camera in the iPhone 7.
Since this is the first Apple tablet with a 10.5-inch display, iFixit popular resource staff wondered if he had changed somehow in comparison with the previous company devices. To do this, they completely dismantled it, considering at the same level of maintainability.
During disassembly of Apple iPad Pro 10.5, iFixit experts found that there are 4 GB RAM LPDDR4 type with a frequency of 1600 MHz from Micron Technology, a drive manufacturer is Toshiba. The battery capacity is 8134 mAh, which is slightly more than the 9.7-inch model, but much less than the 12.9-inch iPad Pro.
Also in the new iPad Pro (version Wi-Fi) in place of conventional LTE-antenna locations were identified, unidentified plastic inserts. The iFixit came to the conclusion that they need to strengthen the position of the display as well as the other destinations they simply do not have.
Overall, Apple iPad Pro 10.5 is not much different from the other Apple tablets. Employee’s iFixit noted a large amount of glue which holds virtually all of the components, making it difficult to repair. As a result, 10.5-inch iPad Pro only got 2 points out of 10 on a scale of maintainability.
