Finnish sources say that HMD Global, the company that owns the Nokia brand, is working on three new terminals identified as Nokia 2, Nokia 7 and Nokia 8.
The numerical order leaves no doubt, the Nokia 2 will be a model aimed at the low range and therefore economic, while the Nokia 7 should position directly in the mid-high range. Finally the Nokia 8 is called to become a high-end terminal.
We do not have specific details on the possible specifications of each of these three terminals, but seeing the strategy that has followed HMD Global with Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 we can intuit that they will continue to bet on Snapdragon SoCs.
Its launch is expected by the end of the year, a date that leads us to think that they could share “stage” with the Nokia 9, smartphone that in theory will be the new top of the Finnish company.
According to the latest rumors said smartphone will feature a SoC Snapdragon 835, 4 GB of RAM or 6 GB of RAM (could come in two versions), 5.5 inch screen with resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels, dual rear camera 13 MP And 12 MP front.
The Nokia 9 will be the direct rival of terminals such as Samsung Galaxy S8, Xperia XZ Sony and LG G6.
The operating system of all these new terminals will continue to be Android, since as we know the return of Nokia has put an end to the use of Windows Phone 8.1 – Windows 10 Mobile, a platform that is in a complicated situation after living some bright moments during the time of the Lumia.
