HP Windows mixed reality Headset: Specs, Release Date and Price

The HP Windows mixed reality headset of HP is one of the first devices to hit the market under the platform Windows Mixed Reality, the result of the opening of the Microsoft Windows platform Holographic manufacturers OEM, ODM and hardware partners.

The unification of the ecosystem proposed by Microsoft aims to create a broader platform that encompasses the company’s virtual, augmented and mixed efforts. The platform will offer from economic helmets to consumption to more advanced models like the HoloLens of the same Microsoft.

It offers 95 degrees of horizontal field of vision and a native refresh rate of up to 90 Hz. It comes with a single cable up to 6 meters with HDMI 2.0 and USB 3.0, and has audio output and a 3.5 mm jack. A double padded tape facilitates a simple and comfortable adjustment for hours of use.

The minimum hardware to work with these devices is content for the current level of new PCs, although according to Microsoft the performance of these devices will be “scalable” and a higher hardware level will get better experience, as recommended by HP for their mixed reality headset.

The HP Windows mixed reality Headset can now be booked in some Microsoft Store with a price of $ 329, rather cheaper than the HTC Live or the Oculus Rift. It will be available from the month of August.
