The GeForce GT 1030 is NVIDIA’s big bet to compete with AMD’s Radeon RX 550 and is also a renewal of the green giant’s low-end, which as we know had been stuck in solutions based on Kepler.
We have already seen in articles like this a first performance test, and in this one we had the opportunity to review their most important specifications and to know the possible price that the card will have.
As we can appreciate the majority will bet on mounting low profile versions with passive dissipation, a decision that frankly seems right, since we are talking about a graphics card with very loose specifications:
- 384 shaders of the latest generation (Pascal).
- 24 units of texturing.
- 8 raster units.
- 64-bit bus.
- 2 GB of GDDR5.
TDP of NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030 will be 35W, which means it will work with any type of source and will offer a very cool operation.
The working frequencies have not yet transpired, but the latest information about NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030 speaks of more than 1,200 MHz and 1,500 MHz in the GPU, normal mode and turbo. On the other hand, the memory could work at 6 GHz.
The final price has not yet been confirmed so we cannot draw conclusions about the value that the GT 1030 could offer. However, we can already anticipate that it will not be a good option for those who want to play current titles, since according to the latest leaks, it will be around $ 80.
For less than 100 dollars-euros, it is possible to buy a Radeon RX 460 of 2 GB and for a little more a GTX 1050, two graphics cards that exceed long for that NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030.
