Less than a month ago there was an event that is in the process of changing the look of the super middle ranges on Android. The presentation of the Snapdragon 660, the new Qualcomm chip that already announced its arrival by setting a record in AnTuTu, is going to be a significant qualitative leap that already takes advantage of some manufacturer.
The next to do so will be Xiaomi, whose next generation of Mi C terminals, specifically the third after the initial Xiaomi Mi 4C a couple of years ago, will mount the newest processor of Qualcomm’s. Xiaomi Mi 6C conforms to this filtration as a terminal that we probably want to have. Let’s see what’s coming.
Firstly, the Snapdragon 660 we talked about earlier. It appears in the table of characteristics of GFXBench with a clock speed of 2.2GHz and with a GPU Adreno 512, in addition to unveil the support for OpenGL ES 3.2 and OpenCL 2.0, but the chip itself gives us more information about the Xiaomi Mi 6C of which the benchmark reveals.
It is a processor with four cores Cortex-A73 at 2.2GHz and other four cores Cortex-A53, presumably at 1.8GHz. It offers an X12 modem to reach this category of mobile data connections and its GPU will allow to record video with resolution 4K to 30fps. We also know that Bluetooth is likely to be 5.0, this is guaranteed, and the battery will enjoy quick charging Quick Charge 4.0.
Other data from GFXBench tell us that the Xiaomi Mi 6C would have a FullHD screen 5.1 inches, around 430 pixels per inch of density for a panel whose technology has not been revealed. It is not the case of your memories, because the performance test yields data such as the 6GB of RAM or the 64GB of internal storage.
On the back we see a 12 megapixel sensor with presumed LED flash and native HDR photo capability. The data confirms 4K video recording although the presence of a single sensor nullifies any possibility of seeing replicated the model of the Xiaomi Mi 6, with double camera with telephoto and portrait mode made in Xiaomi. 12 megapixel rear looks like a suitable figure, 4 megapixels front are craving scarce.
As for the front, GFXBench shows only 4 megapixels, a figure certainly strange and that would leave this Mi 6C of Xiaomi in clear disadvantage with other phones more adapted to the already established custom of the selfies. We will see if this data varies when it is officially presented or if, really, the frontal camera is somewhat lame.
The future Xiaomi Mi 6C with Android 7.1.1 Nougat under MIUI 8 is on its way to the market although for now it is not known approximate date for its landing. With it, Xiaomi will almost completely renew its super midrange after Xiaomi Mi Max 2 a few days ago. We only hope the price is affordable when it can be acquired from the outside, because we already know that it will hardly leave China.
