AMD officially introduced four new processor Ryzen Threadripper families and Ryzen 3 for TR4 and AM4 platforms. Performance models AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950X and AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1920X with 16 and 12 cores respectively are designed for motherboards based on the 4094-pin LGA-connector TR4 chipset AMD X399, and quad Ryzen March 1200 and Ryzen 3 1300X were created for the motherboard socket AM4.
AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1950X is the top solution from AMD. This processor uses 16 nuclei 32 streams running at a clock frequency of 3.4 to 4.0 GHz. Chipset equipped with 32 MB cache in the third level, four-channel DDR4 RAM controller 64 and lines PCI Express 3.0. The cost is $ 999.
Model AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1920X has 12 nuclei 24 flows at a frequency of 3.5 to 4.0 GHz. This processor also received quad DDR4 RAM controller 64 and line PCI Express 3.0. The cost is $ 799.
More Ryzen 3 available processors and 1300X Ryzen March 1200 have four core and do not support multithreading.
The junior model is clocked at 3.4 GHz, and the oldest – up to 3.7 GHz. In this case, the acceleration function XFR only supports Ryzen 3 1300X. Their detailed specifications will be announced later.
Ryzen Threadripper processor sales will start in early August, and the release of chipsets family Ryzen 3 is scheduled for July 27th.
