GIGABYTE has introduced the new Aorus X5 MD, a high-end gaming notebook designed to power a powerful NVIDIA GTX 1080 graphics card with 8 GB GDDR5X.
This equipment is based on the concept NVIDIA Max-Q that we saw in this news, and it has been able to contain all the power and heat of a GTX 1080 in a body only 2.29 centimeters thick. The result is fantastic, as we see in the images the Aorus X5 MD has a very attractive design and is not too bulky.
Taking a look at the complete list of specifications of Aorus X5 MD, we find a 15.6-inch screen with IPS panel and 3,840 x 2,160 pixel resolution (4K) that incorporates G-Sync technology.
The processor is a Core i7 7820K with four cores and eight wires at 2.9 GHz-3.9 GHz speed in normal and turbo mode, enough to ensure a good level of performance even in games with a high dependence on the CPU.
The graphics is as we said a GTX 1080 with 8 GB of GDDR5X, Supports up to 64 GB of DDR4 memory, high speed SSDs and has a wide range of connectors, including a Thunderbolt 3, a mini DisplayPort 1.3 and a HDMI 2.0 output.
As an added value, GIGABYTE has integrated an RGB LED lighting system into the keyboard of the Aorus X5 MD, and has also implemented a fan control system that allows setting ten different speeds.
We have no details on the price of Aorus X5 MD but it is clear that we are facing a high-end equipment and great power, so that could easily overcome the 2246 dollars.
