The firm BenQ has debuted the CineHome W1700, a high-end digital projector aimed at demanding users looking for a solution with a good value since this particular model is priced pretty tight.
Under the sober design of the CineHome W1700, we find some very good specifications among which especially its 8.3 megapixels of resolution, improved accuracy thanks to CinematicColor and HDR support (high dynamic range). BenQ has taken care of all aspects of this new projector to get a top result, and we can certainly say that it has achieved it.
Thanks to the DLP technology of a single DMD 0.47 inches have been able to minimize the device and give it a compact and elegant profile, while its pure optical system optimized for 4K offers a high image accuracy and great representation fidelity of color.
As we anticipate the set is topped by the HDR (high dynamic range), which improves the contrasts of lights and shadows and offers help to get a fantastic experience in high-resolution multimedia content.
BenQ has also confirmed that this new projector covers 96% of the Rec. 709 color spectrum and that it is also compatible with HDCP 2.2, an advanced multimedia content protection system, which means that with it we can enjoy any type of content regardless of the format (streaming or physical).
Otherwise, the W1700 can work without problems with devices such as QCast or QCast Mirror of BenQ itself, Google Chromecast or Amazon’s Fire TV Stick, which will allow us to give a “smart” touch in a second.
The BenQ CineHome W1700 will be available from January 2018 with an official price of 1,599 euros, VAT included.
