Specifications of Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact are well known, but this week we received extra confirmation in the form of leaks in popular benchmarks GeekBench and AnTuTu. The smartphone appears there under its model number – G8441.
According to the “extract” from the database GeekBench, Xperia XZ1 Compact has the top characteristics: the chipset Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 and 4 GB RAM. It is also important to note that the device is running the latest mobile OS Android 8.0.0.
The result of the novelty of the Japanese company is quite typical for devices based on Snapdragon 835. The gadget scored 1834 points in a single-core test and 6232 points in a multi-core test. Compared with the same Xiaomi Mi6 is clearly “not thick”, but there is one important “but”.
The fact is that the Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact is a unique flagship smartphone with compact dimensions. Its screen diagonal is only 4.6 inches with a resolution of 1080 × 1920 pixels. Based on Android, you just do not find anything like this.
The novelty is uniquely addressed to all those who are used to the “green robot”, but do not want to carry a “shovel” with a 5.5-inch screen. Unfortunately for these users, the size of modern smartphones continue to grow. In fact, the only alternative to the XZ1 Compact is the Apple iPhone 7.
As for the characteristics of the Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact based on information from another benchmark – AnTuTu, they generally confirm the data of GeekBench, but they contain a number of interesting details (32 GB of internal memory) and are not devoid of weirdness.
