Almost all the recent rumors concerning Nokia’s new smartphones revolve around the flagship model of Nokia 8, as it is with this device that HMD Global associates hopes for the brand’s revival. But, as we learned last week, before the end of this year, the manufacturer will release three more new smartphones, in addition to the flagship of Nokia 8. One of the novelties will be the budget model Nokia 2 in two versions with SoC Snapdragon 212 and SoC produced by MediaTek (the model is unknown).
And now, on one of the Chinese websites, an image appeared, on which a Nokia 2 smartphone is allegedly displayed. In this image, the Nokia 2 smartphone is imprinted with the Nokia 3 model presented at the beginning of the year.
As you can see, according to the design, these models will be very different (we will reject doubts about the reliability of the image). There will not be a fingerprint scanner for this model, but this is not surprising, considering that Nokia 3, standing one step higher, does not exist either. It is noteworthy that there are no touch buttons at the bottom of the screen, whereas in all the models presented before, they were. Here, the control is carried out using the Android virtual buttons on the screen.
The case of Nokia 2 has a more rounded shape, the author of the image says about the similarity with last year’s model Lumia 620.
Apparently, Nokia 2 will receive a screen of the same size as the Nokia 3, that is, five inches diagonally. The source confirms previous data regarding the use of the Snapdragon 212 single-chip platform in Nokia 2, but also mentions the possibility of using the Snapdragon 210 model. Unfortunately, this is all that is known about the device.
