A leak has let us see the first images of the new GIGABYTE X299 AORUS GAMING series 9, series 7 and series 3, a set of motherboards with which the well-known assembler will offer to cover the high range of solutions for the new Skylake-X processors and Intel’s Kaby Lake-X.
These processors are the successors of the current Broadwell-E, which as we know they use the architecture of the Core 5000 series and are manufactured in process of 14 nm. With Skylake-X and Kaby Lake-X the chip giant leaps to the architecture of the Core 6000 and 7000 respectively, which means that they will be made in 14 nm process but will bring a clear improvement at the IPC level.
Returning to the plates we see that the GIGABYTE X299 AORUS GAMING series 9, series 7 and series 3 have a high quality of construction and have a very careful design. All important areas are protected with passive dissipation systems and PCIE Armor solutions are also appreciated on these connectors, a stainless steel part that helps protect and reinforce PCI Express connectors.
LED lighting plays an important role and helps to distinguish clearly between the three ranges. The series 3 is quite discreet and we are convinced that it will be the best value for money for the average user. For its part, the series 7 promises a show of light and color and the series 9 further raises the bar and is simply impressive.
We have no details on the price of GIGABYTE X299 AORUS GAMING series 9 and we do not know the exact date of availability of these plates, but we imagine that they will be officially announced at Computex this year, so we will just have to wait a little.
