According to the latest information from the source, a large screenless screen Huawei Mate 10 will receive a special trade name EntireView Display. It is assumed that the development of the display will be delegated to the Japanese company JDI Display.
Likewise, this year LG has already acted in the case of the flagship G6 (Full Vision) and Samsung on the example of the Galaxy S8 (Infinity Display). It is possible that Apple will also somehow review the screen of its conceptual eighth apple phone.
Unfortunately, the EUIPO database does not contain any details about the technical characteristics of the EntireView Display. According to earlier leaks, the Huawei Mate 10 screen will have the following parameters:
- The diagonal is 5.99 or 6.1 inches.
- Resolution FullHD + 1080 × 2160 pixels.
- The matrix type is OLED (not exact).
Also expected is a more compact Huawei Mate 10 Lite, which will have a display with a diagonal of 5.8 inches and the same aspect ratio and number of pixels. Also, the presence of curved side faces is assumed.
At the same time, the cost of the basic modification Huawei Mate 10 can “break” the mark of 1100 dollars. The truth is then it is not very clear how the Chinese are going to compete with Samsung with its advanced Galaxy Note 8 and Apple with its iPhone 8. The latter should still be cheaper.
As it will in fact, we will find out in October this year. This month, the Chinese plan to hold a presentation of the flagship Huawei Mate 10, as well as Mate 10 Lite.
