Kingston KC1000 NVMe PCIe SSD: Features

Kingston Digital has introduced a new ultra-fast solid state drive interface Kingston KC1000 NVMe PCIe. The novelty has become one of the most productive in the industry devices, oriented to work with large volumes of data in a strictly limited time frame.

According to the Kingston manager for SSD-business Ariel Perez, the use of new SSD-drive will significantly improve the efficiency and comfort of work with high-definition video, applications, virtual augmented reality, streaming and real-time analytics, resource-intensive video games, software for CAD and other software products impose high requirements to the system.

Kingston KC1000 NVMe PCIe

In particular, made in M2 form factor, Kingston KC1000 NVMe PCIe drive is equipped with KS1000 interface PCIe Gen3 x4 and supports the latest protocol NVMe, allowing exchange of data at speeds up to 290 000 IO per second (IOPS), i.e. more than 2 times faster compared to SATA SSD, and more than 40 times faster than a traditional hard drive 7200 rpm/min. Thus, the use of a new drive makes it possible to significantly speed up the loading of the system and the start of the program, to increase productivity in operations with sequential read and write.

Besides high Performance, Kingston KC1000 NVMe PCIe SSD has higher than traditional SSD, energy efficiency, and increased reliability, backed by a 5-year limited warranty. It is planned that the Kingston SSD K1000 will be available in the market in versions of 240, 480 and 960 GB, the sales of the new drive will start in June 2017.

Recall that recently the company Kingston Digital announced solid DCP1000 drive with the PCIe interface NVMe, specifically designed for the data center.
