One of the most original features of the phones in the market, at present, are Motorola Moto Mods. The Motorola module system allows you to connect accessories to phones and have new features. Now, Motorola is preparing its new Moto Mod with 360-degree Camera to use from the Moto Z.
The information has been shared on twitter by Evleaks, showing what would be the brand’s new Moto Mod. A module that comes from a white housing that includes a 360 degree camera at the top. The camera could record videos in 360 degrees from the Moto Z, Moto Z2 or Moto Z2 Play.
At the moment we do not know the specifications of the camera, what will be its price or what will be its availability. The camera would have two 180º lenses, one on each side, and would allow us to record all that is around us although at the moment we do not know anything else about it.
The module remembers the one that we knew recently launched by Andy Rubin, creator of Android, for his Essential phone. This Motorola module Moto Mod with 360-degree Camera has 16 magnetic pins that would fit the top of the phone and its two lenses would allow us to make spectacular photographs and videos.
The Moto Mod with 360-degree Camera was presented during the presentation of the new Moto in Ghana. This module had not been shown so far with the presentation of the rest of Moto Mods we knew when the launch of Moto Z2 Play.
Motorola said it would launch at least 12 new Moto Mods every year. Just a few weeks ago the Moto Z2 Play was presented and a new generation of modules including a GamePad Moto Mod, a speaker, a battery module and casings that add the option of wireless charging to the phone that carries them.
New generation of Moto Mods
The module of the camera in 360 degrees, if fulfilled, would be the fifth accessory of the year so if Motorola’s words and plans are met, we would still have to know 7 more modules before the end of 2017.
