Thanks to a new filtration we have new images of the Galaxy A8 2018, a new phone of medium-high range with which Samsung plans to renew a short-term catalog. We do not have an exact launch date, but everything points to January 2018.
Samsung may take advantage of the framework of the 2018 CES to announce its new Galaxy A8 2018 and its older brother, Galaxy A8 + 2018, although its launch could be delayed until the MWC of that year.
Regarding the finishes, there are no surprises because as we see in the attached images, everything that we had previously told you is maintained.
The Galaxy A8 2018 would have a screen in 18: 9 format that would cover almost the entire front, leaving minimal edges that would, however, be more pronounced than those we have seen in the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note 8.
This is due to the absence of the Edge finish, which as we know extends the screen until it completely covers the sides and leaves only the horizontal edges (top and bottom).
In the construction of the phone, we will find metal and glass, a duo for which Samsung began to bet with the launch of the Galaxy S6 in 2015 and that has maintained since then in all its top of the range and also in its models of medium and high range.
At the level of specifications, we expect a screen of about 5.5 inches with a resolution of 2,160 x 1,080 pixels, a SoC Eyxnos 7885 with eight-core CPU, 4 GB or 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage capacity. The 3.5 mm jack will still be present, and Samsung will not forget the IP68 certification, which ensures resistance to dust and water.
