HMD Global is working on a new top-of-the-range terminal that promises to raise the bar regarding Nokia 8, the Nokia 9. We had seen many rumors about this terminal that painted us a pretty confusing picture at first, but in the end, we have been able to resolve our doubts thanks to its passage through the FCC.
The Nokia 9 is a top-of-the-range terminal that is destined to become the most powerful of the Finnish company. At the design level we do not expect important changes compared to what we have seen in the Nokia 8, although this does not mean that it will be identical to that, but simply follow its basic line and maintain its quality of construction.
Regarding the specifications, the most important change that this new terminal will introduce will be the use of a screen with 18: 9 format and QHD + resolution. Then we leave you a summary of its possible specifications (highlighted in bold are confirmed by the FCC):
Nokia has opted 5.5-inch OLED screen manufactured by LG with 18: 9 format, and SoC Snapdragon 835 with eight-core CPU, along with Adreno 540 GPU.
While memory configuration is powered with 4 GB of RAM, and 64 GB / 128 GB expandable storage capacity. The battery is standard looking at the display size, i.e., 3.250 mAh battery.
Nokia 9 is following the trend of dual-camera, so it has a dual-sensor camera on the back of 13 MP + 12 MP and front of 5 MP. Android O as an operating system.
The Nokia 9 is expected to be officially announced sometime next month, perhaps coinciding with the 2018 CES, which would take us to January. We do not have details about the price, and we do not know its specific release date either.
