Thanks to a leak we have been able to see that the OnePlus 5 will be officially announced on June 15, a date that perfectly matches the releases of previous models (all debuted in that month of its respective launch year).
It is not officially confirmed but of course the leak has almost total credibility, so in principle there is nothing that makes us doubt it.
With regard to the OnePlus 5 is treated as we know of a top end of the range that will have a level of performance at the height of models like Samsung Galaxy S8, but will have a lower price.
The most reliable information leaves us the following table of specifications of OnePlus 5:
- 5-inch screen with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels.
- SoC Snapdragon 835.
- GPU Adreno 540.
- 6 GB of RAM or 8 GB of RAM, depending on version.
- 64 GB, 128 GB or 256 GB of storage capacity.
- Double rear camera of 12 MP and front of 8 MP.
- 580 mAh battery.
- Android 7.1.1 as an operating system.
At the level of finishes it is said that it will maintain the metal finish that we saw in the OnePlus 3 and in the 3T variant. Neither are expected major changes in the design of this new smartphone, which put together suggests that the OnePlus 5 would end up being very similar to the previous generation.
Most interesting would certainly be the price, as it is rumored that the basic model of OnePlus 5 with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage capacity could cost around $ 400.
