A leak has let us see a complete round of images of the Sony Xperia XZ1, a top-of-the-range smartphone that the Japanese company will officially present at this year’s IFA, an event that as we know takes place in Berlin.
As we can see it maintains the design we saw in the Sony Xperia XZ Premium, with fully rectangular lines that go against the current trend that most manufacturers follow, who prefer to use rounded shots.
There is no significant change in this sense and everything indicates that Sony will repeat metal finish in the Sony Xperia XZ1, which is a definite continuity that makes this smartphone a simple smaller version of the Xperia XZ Premium.
We do not yet have official information on its specifications or price, but thanks to a series of previous leaks we can leave you an approximate list of which will be its key characteristics:
- 2-inch IPS screen with 1080p resolution.
- SoC Snadpragon 835 with eight-core CPU.
- GPU Adreno 540.
- 4 GB of RAM.
- 64 GB / 128 GB expandable storage capacity.
- 23 MP rear camera, 13 MP front.
- Resistance to water (IP68).
- USB Type-C, WiFi AC, NFC and fingerprint reader.
It is said that it could get updated to Android O (8.0), but considering that its release is imminent and that version of the well-known operating system of Google was announced very recently we think that it will most likely come with Android N (7.1.2).
