Samsung ended its Galaxy S mini range with the launch of the Galaxy S5, although a new round of rumors has again pointed to the possibility of the South Korean giant to launch a Samsung Galaxy S8 Mini.
In theory said smartphone would maintain the line and finishes of the Galaxy S8, although it would have a smaller screen size and a reduction at specification level so its performance would be lower.
These are the supposed specifications that would have the Samsung Galaxy S8 Mini:
- Screen 5.3 inch 18: 9 type SuperAMOLED.
- SoC Snapdragon 821.
- 4 GB of RAM.
- 32GB of storage capacity.
- 12 MP rear camera, 8 MP front.
As we see the most important changes would be in the SoC and the size of the screen, although we must keep in mind that thanks to the format 18: 9, the Samsung Galaxy S8 Mini would have a size similar to that of a standard smartphone of 4.7 inches.
Initial information says that this terminal will arrive first in South Korea and that Samsung hopes to have a direct rival for the Apple iPhone 7s, a smartphone that in principle will maintain the format of 4.7 inches that debuted with the iPhone 6.
That approach contributes to making sense of this version of the current range of the South Korean giant, although it should also take into account that would have positive effects in the catalog of Samsung and now the company only has large smartphones in their top Range, a situation that will go further with the Galaxy Note 8 as according to the latest leaks will reach 6.4 inches.
