Samsung was working on a high-end smartphone that would recover the shell-type design that caused furor in the nineties and today has been officially presented. It is called Samsung Leader 8 and is currently exclusive to the Chinese market.
The first thing that strikes you is that shell-like finish we referred to, but the truth is that Leader 8 is much more than a nostalgic terminal as it offers the performance of any current high-end smartphone and also has a configuration of dual screen truly unique.
These are the final specifications of the terminal:
- Dual SuperAMOLED 4.2-inch screen with 1080p resolution.
- SoC Snapdragon 821 with quad-core CPU based on Kryo architecture.
- GPU Adreno 530.
- 4 GB of RAM.
- 64 GB of storage capacity.
- 12MP rear camera, 5 MP front.
- 2,300 mAh battery.
- Fingerprint reader on the back, just below the camera.
- Android M as operating system.
Samsung Leader 8 comes with Samsung Pay, Secure Folder and S Voice, but lacks the new personal assistant to South Korean firm Bixby. We do not know if they are considering integrating it in a future upgrade, but given that it is a terminal that might not leave China we see it very unlikely.
We have no details on the price and has not transcended the release date, but we imagine that it will follow the line of previous models and that it will not be precisely economic.
Would you like this terminal to have an international distribution?
