Samsung did not wait for the CES 2018 exhibition and introduced the updated notebooks Samsung Notebook 9. In total, three models are presented, which received ultra-thin cases of magnesium-aluminum alloy Metal12.
The first novelty is a notebook Samsung Notebook 9 Pen, which, like the model presented in May, the Notebook 9 Pro stands out with the support of the digital pen S-Pen (located in a special slot in the case). In this case, the same pen is used as for Galaxy Note8, with a tip diameter of 0.7 mm and recognition of 4096 degrees of pressing.
Like its predecessor, the new 13-inch Samsung Notebook 9 Pen is a transformable notebook. The hinged system of fixing the screen to the body allows you to deflect the screen at an angle of 360 degrees, turning the laptop into a tablet. In addition, it has a fairly tight move, which allows you to lock the screen in any position suitable for a particular scenario of using the device.
The laptop is equipped with a fingerprint scanner and an infrared sensor for the Windows face recognition function Hello. Fingerprint scanners also received updated Samsung Notebook 9 models with screens of 13.3 and 15 inches, respectively, but they do not have an infrared sensor.
The cost of laptops, which will be demonstrated at CES, Samsung has left out. Apparently, it will become known to closer to the date of the start of sales.
