The Korean giant has officially launched its new Q9 TV, a model that features an 88-inch OLED panel and a 4K Ultra HD screen resolution (3,840 x 2,160 pixels).
As you can imagine Samsung Q9 TV is a top-of-the-range model that also supports the latest technologies in the market, including HDR (high-end lighting).
Samsung has confirmed that its new Q9 TV measures 197.9 centimeters wide and around 135 centimeters high, dimensions that make it a solution limited to larger spaces.
When using an OLED screen this model offers a number of clear advantages over traditional LCD panels, most notably a more vivid and saturated color representation and deeper blacks.
The latter is possible thanks to the way in which the OLED panels represent the black color, directly turning off the illumination of each pixel. Obviously that also has positive effects on system consumption.
The Samsung Q9 TV is priced at $ 20,000 although at the moment it is only available in the United States and South Korea. It is expected to arrive in Europe later this August.
The price of Samsung Q9 TV is not confirmed in other countries.
