Xiaomi Mi Max Update: Receiving update to Android Nougat

Xiaomi introduced its Xiaomi Mi Max 2 a month ago. A phone with a huge screen that came to follow in the footsteps of its successor, launched in 2016. The Xiaomi Mi Max was launched last year attracting the attention of the public. Now, the Xiaomi Mi Max Update begins to receive the update to Android Nougat.

A phone of a huge size, with a screen of 6.4 inches that was launched a year ago and already has successor but that has not prevented you upgrade to Android 7 Nougat. The update to Nougat is based on the ROM of MIUI Global and also includes the security patches of May.

At the moment, only the 3 GB RAM version seems to be getting the Xiaomi Mi Max Update to Nougat and users of 4 GB RAM will have to wait a little longer to know when to update their phone although it would be logical that in a matter of a few days was already available also in the major mobile.

As is the case in this type of OTA updates, it may take a little longer to reach you if you have a Xiaomi Mi Max but will do so in the next few days. You can check it manually in the settings section of the phone, in the tab about the device and clicking on the update system section.

To update you must always keep in mind to have enough battery in the phone (not shut down during the process) and be connected to a WiFi network before downloading.

The Xiaomi Mi Max is a phone with a screen of 6.44 inches with resolution 1920 x 1080 pixels (294 ppi). Inside, it works with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 processor and has a RAM of 3 GB (or 4) and with an internal storage of 32 GB. The phone was launched in May last year running Android Marshmallow and now its owners, if they were envious of their successor, can already at least enjoy Android Nougat on their phones.

Android Nougat continues to grow and reaching more mobile. Earlier this month it was already available on one in ten Android-powered phones and will continue to expand in the coming months thanks to new high-end mobile releases and terminal upgrades from other ranges.
